This is our major secondary science event of the year. The theme for this year’s conference will be effective curriculum, effective assessment. This year’s conference will feature presentations from three specialist secondary science keynote speakers and offer delegates the opportunity to participate in workshops, review the resources exhibition and, as always, have some time to network and share ideas with colleagues from other schools. The keynote speakers are: David Shakespeare, Square to Learn. Developing a challenging curriculum at Key Stage 3. Mary Whitehouse, University of York. Evidence based practise in science learning. Andrew Chandler-Grevatt, University of Sussex. Effective assessment for Key Stage 3
Outcomes:
By attending the conference, participants will:
  • have an up-to-date knowledge of the science curriculum
  • explore the current issues facing secondary science
  • consider new innovations and developments in science teaching
