:: EYFS NQT induction programme ::
Outline
This interactive and exciting programme run by the Early Years team will support newly qualified teachers in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), through a tailor made programme. This will consist of five full days over the academic year.
Outcomes:
By attending the programme, participants will:
  • reflect upon the importance of the learning environment, both indoors and outdoors and plan improvement
  • develop classroom organisational skills and use of resources including the deployment of adults
  • develop an understanding of the role of the adult in supporting the unique child in adult-directed and child-initiated activities
  • evaluate their practice to identify their continuing professional development needs and maximise the opportunity for developing supportive networks between NQT colleagues
  • identify the impact of their work on learners and, as appropriate, others with whom they work with including outside agencies
