Outline
The new Ofsted framework and the mandatory curriculum for relationship education and health education both place a spotlight on the effectiveness of what we are teaching. This course will explore the principles and practicalities behind developing a quality anti-abuse curriculum and a community that prevents and challenges all prejudice, bullying and abuse. We will include teaching about: - anti-bullying - online and offline anti-bullying and anti-prejudice abuse - protective behaviour - identifying and responding to risk
Outcomes:
The aims of the course are to:
  • explore how to teach anti-bullying and anti-abuse, both online and off-line abuse, in order to satisfy Ofsted
  • clarify how to identify that we are delivering effective learning that is impacting across the school community
  • consider how focus this work to effectively safeguard children through the curriculum
  • explore age appropriate resources and approaches
