Looking for inspiration and new ideas to provide high-quality experiences to develop early writing skills outdoors? This twilight session will support practitioners to explore a range of innovative and practical ideas, to motivate and develop children's early mark-making when learning outdoors.
Prerequisites
Delegates should bring a learning journal for one child in their school or setting - permissions will be required as appropriate.
Outcomes:
By attending the training, participants will:
  • review the wealth of opportunities that the outdoors provides to maximise early writing skills
  • understand how writing can be effectively promoted in the outdoor learning environment
  • engage in practical experiences to inspire them with ideas to take back to their settings
