Outline
This workshop will provide an overview of the existing grievance process and will identify the inherent problems which can arise from such a process driven and traditional method of grievance resolution. The workshop will explain the benefits and importance of modern informal conflict resolution techniques which can be used within the informal stage of the grievance process or as a standalone skill to prevent disputes escalating, achieve employee buy in and address issues at the root cause. Managers will be equipped with key facilitation techniques.
Outcomes:
By attending the session participants will:
  • be confident in understanding and conducting the grievance process
  • be able to identify damaging conflicts and those that are suitable for informal facilitation
  • be equipped with key skills to manage and resolve difficult staff conflict
