:: Delivering outstanding PSHE to pupils with SEND in mainstream and special schools ::
Outline
This course aims to provide teachers with the tools to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver a PSHE curriculum that meets the needs of pupils with SEND from both mainstream and special schools.
Prerequisites
Delegates should bring a resource, lesson plan, scheme of work that they feel helps them to address the needs of their pupils with SEND as there will be a sharing good practice section to the course.
Outcomes:
By attending the course participants will:
  • be able to share the PSHE good practice going on at their school with other schools to pick up hints and tips to create outstanding PSHE education
  • learn how to create a safe learning environment to deliver often sensitive and controversial issues
  • to explore good practice in bringing PSHE education to life using active teaching and learning methods for our SEND pupils
  • to consider planning effectively a curriculum to support children to develop healthy and safer lifestyles
