Struggling with an outdoor learning environment? Looking for inspiration in developing an outdoor area? This one-day course will offer practitioners a range of practical ideas for developing high-quality outdoor provision whilst gaining a deeper understanding of the theories supporting their practice.
Prerequisites
Come suitably dressed for working outdoors. Lunch will not be provided.
Outcomes:
By attending the session participants will:
  • consider the importance of the outdoor provision in improving children's outcomes
  • develop their ideas for improving provision to reflect all areas of learning outdoors
  • understand how adults can improve learning outdoors
  • identify effective strategies to overcome possible challenges including limited budgets
  • engage in practical experiences in a stimulating outdoor environment
