Outline
This course will look at the programming element of the 2014 National Curriculum for primary computing. We will explore the different aspects of this element, breaking it down into age appropriate skills, and look at differentiation.
Prerequisites
Delegates should bring along the computing programme of study being followed in their setting. Please bring a memory stick so you can take away any electronic resources provided
Outcomes:
By attending the course participants will:
  • develop a clear understanding of the programming elements of the primary computing curriculum, in KS1, lower KS2 and upper KS2
  • look at models of good practice
  • have examples of differentiated activities linked to the elements of programming
  • look at pupil work samples, assess and develop an understanding of age-appropriate work
