:: Securing and judging progress in primary science at upper Key Stage 2 ::
This half-day course will develop the confidence of teachers to make accurate judgements about the progress of pupils in science. Delegates will have the opportunity to moderate working scientifically activities with colleagues, explore assessment tasks and consider how to judge pupils' progress in subject knowledge.
Please can delegates bring along work from 3 pupils who are working at the expected standard for moderation purposes.
By attending the course participants will:
cross moderated assessments for working scientifically
considered next steps and guidance for pupils
judged assessments against exemplar materials
explored resources to support the assessment of working scientifically skills and subject knowledge
Please note this course is for delegates teaching in upper key stage 2.
