:: Getting ahead with planning summer term ESSENTIALmaths for Year 1 ::
Outline
As the summer term approaches, teachers using ESSENTIALmaths will be considering what areas of learning they will be covering and what subject knowledge is required. This twilight session, will outline the key learning and essential subject knowledge required for pupils to make maximum progress in maths. The adviser leading the session will help teachers to identify the key points to consider in their planning and teaching, modelling some of the ideas and activities from within the ESSENTIALmaths resources. This series of training sessions are the ideal springboard for all teachers, from Year 1 to Year 5, to help them feel ready and energised to plan and teach maths for the summer term.
