:: Understanding and analysing Early Years Foundation Stage data ::
Outline
Want to be able to use EYFS data to support self-evaluation and strategic planning? This course will support delegates to interrogate and know their data. It will enable delegates to use data to support conversations with SLTs, SIPs, governors and Ofsted.
Prerequisites
Delegates should bring either paper copies or electronic copies of their EYFS data for this year, including: • The overview reports for EYFS nursery and reception (from HfL tracker or similar in any other tracker) • EYFSP end data reports • Attainment on entry data reports (2018 Oct overview report or HCC AoE reports) • Any other data items/report they may use in their school
Outcomes:
By attending the course, participants will:
  • receive a demonstration on the updates and analysis reports on the Hertfordshire Progress Toolkit (AM7) from a HfL Data Management Adviser and be updated on current issues related to EYFS achievement
  • further understand how to use their EYFS data to show progress and attainment
  • develop confidence in the principles of EYFS data analysis, and develop skills enabling them to evidence their data picture
  • have time within the course to analyse their school's EYFS data for 2018-19 to use back in school
  • have an opportunity to discuss aspects relating to assessment that are pertinent to their school with the HfL advisers
