:: New to the Early Years Foundation Stage ::
This course is for teachers who are new to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in September or have recently moved to the EYFS. The course is delivered through a mixture of presentation styles, including tutor-led sessions, group discussions and workshops.
By attending the course, participants will:
  • understand the statutory requirements of the EYFS
  • reflect upon the importance of the EYFS learning environment, both indoors and outdoors
  • consider the daily routines appropriate in Nursery and Reception classes
  • establish strategies for adults to support an appropriate balance between adult-directed and child-initiated learning
  • understand the adult's role in the EYFS
