Herts for Learning Online
:: The Future of your Sixth Form; Navigating the Challenges of the Landscape Ahead ::
The year’s post-16 summer conference aims to stimulate leaders’ thinking in curriculum, quality, and accountability. ASCL’s Stephen Rollett will be outlining the key points in Ofsted’s new inspection framework with implications for Sixth Form judgements. Carly Waterman of Waterman Learning will address the pedagogical, assessment and accountability challenges that A levels bring. Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend workshops covering a broad range of topics (e.g. Gatsby benchmarks, applied general qualifications and other implications of the post-16 curriculum review).
By attending the conference, participants will:
  • understand the new Ofsted framework, and implications for Sixth Form judgements
  • clarify their thinking on what future high-quality post-16 provision might look like in their own school
  • understand how curricula, assessments and internal examinations can be designed to support maximum achievement in linear examinations
  • share strategies for supporting the resilience, wellbeing and readiness of students who face up to 33 hours of exams
