Herts for Learning Online
:: Behaviour for Learning ::
Developing an ethos of positive behaviour in the classroom is fundamental to maximising pupil performance, minimising disruptive behaviour and nurturing positive pupil-teacher relationships. This course has been created to further develop and embed delegate's understanding of what works in schools, by providing an opportunity to explore research, identify best practice and develop a toolkit of practical strategies for teaching positive behaviour. The training will also share routes into shifting the focus from behaviour management to active promotion of learning behaviours consistent with the "Herts Steps" approach.
Delegates should bring a hard copy of their school’s current behaviour management policy
By attending the course, participants will:
  • increase their understanding of what effective teachers do
  • explore ways of reducing the amount of time spent dealing with disruptive behaviour
  • develop approaches that will make them feel more positive, more confident and less stressed
  • have the opportunity to share good and developing practice with colleagues
Suitable for:
  • Classroom Teachers
  • Early Career Teachers
  • Newly Qualified Teachers
  • Teaching Assistants
