Outline
This course will support delegates’ subject knowledge of the grammar elements of the National Curriculum through clear and concise definitions. We will be sharing teaching approaches which ensure clarity for pupils, through the use of children’s literature. Delegates will explore how to use effective grammar teaching to support pupils in composing and improving their writing. Participants will leave with a renewed enthusiasm for grammar teaching and plenty of activities that can be used in class. This course would suit NQTs, teachers moving into a new year group, or those looking for ways to embed grammar teaching into children’s writing; it will enhance subject knowledge and explore practical ideas for the classroom.
