Outline
Developing an ethos of positive behaviour in the classroom is fundamental to maximising pupil performance, minimising disruptive behaviour and nurturing positive pupil-teacher relationships. This course is designed for teachers and support staff and will develop and embed their understanding of what works in schools by providing an opportunity to explore research, identify best practice and develop a toolkit of practical strategies for teaching positive behaviour.
Prerequisites
Delegates should bring a hard copy of their school’s current behaviour management policy
Outcomes:
By attending the course, participants will:
  • increase their understanding of what effective teachers do
  • explore ways of reducing the amount of time spent dealing with disruptive behaviour
  • develop approaches which will make them feel more positive, more confident and less stressed
