:: Bringing a realistic approach to managing differentiation in the whole-class teaching of mathematics - Lower Key Stage 2 ::
Teachers may have heard the talk about "intervening not intervention" in mathematics that is buzzing around right now and will be thinking about how that can work in their classroom. It is known that the National Curriculum states that: "the majority of pupils will progress broadly at the same pace" but it is also known that pupils' learning is often not even similar let alone the same. This course will take a practical and realistic approach to managing the differences in learning in the classroom and share ideas and strategies that we know are effective to address the learning needs and keep pupils on track to achieve their potential.

  • be in a better position to identify, unpick and address the pupils' needs in the classroom for everyday learning
