:: Assessment moderation cluster for teachers in Early Years: cluster 11 - Harpenden and Wheathampstead ::
Outline
This moderation cluster will enable delegates to validate their Early Years Foundation Stage judgements prior to statutory submission. Please bring examples of Learning Journals/evidence that supports judgements for at least three children of differing abilities. These should include a most able child, a child working comfortably within the expected level and a child from a vulnerable group e.g. PPG, EAL, FSM, CLA etc. The process supports discussion and moderation that will enable practitioners to feel confident in making their "best fit" judgements against the early learning goals (ELGs).
Prerequisites
Delegates should bring their: - 2018 EYFS profile handbook - EYFSP exemplification (only if they have printed it out) - learning journals for their selected children - any other evidence that may be helpful

  • agree levels for summative assessment using the EYFSP against the three attainment bands (emerging, expected and exceeding)
