:: Maintaining Primary Assessment Data in SIMS ::
Working in consultation with the primary advisers, Data Management Services has created resources to enable schools to record pupil assessments within SIMS Assessment Manager 7 (AM7). These include reports to analyse assessment data for an individual pupil, cohort or vulnerable group, based on information already held in the SIMS database, e.g. pupil premium, SEN, low attendance, etc. The purpose of this course is to maximise delegates' understanding of how to utilise SIMS to record and analyse assessment data for pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2 using the HfL AM7 resources. The processes covered in the session are applicable once the teacher assessment judgements have been determined by the class teachers. A second delegate from the same school, sharing a computer, will be charged a discounted rate. HfL has allocated six discounted places for schools sending a second delegate, on a first-come, first-served basis. A further half-day course is available, focused on data analysis using own school data see 18DMS/016P.
By attending the course, participants will:
  • understand how to create, customise and enter data onto a marksheet
  • be able to run various reports to analyse the data
  • understand the various options available for administering data entry within the school
Suitable for:
  • Administrative Staff
  • Assessment Coordinators
  • Office Managers
