:: Coaching for leadership and management: becoming a coaching practitioner ::
Outline
This one-year programme consisting of six workshop days, group and one-to-one (including telephone) supervision, assignment submissions (including completing and reflecting on twelve hours of one-to-one coaching at managerial level). The year will be spilt into three parts, with an introductory half-day session, and the other parts spread throughout the year, covering: Part 1: understanding the skills and principles of coaching and mentoring one two-day module buddy pair coaching practice between modules one, one-day module assignment submission Part 2: undertaking management coaching or mentoring in the workplace one-day module one, one hour one-to-one telephone supervision supervision one-day module supervision assignment submission Part 3: reviewing own ability as a coach or mentor one-day module one-to-one telephone supervision peer group supervision assignment submission
Outcomes:
By attending the course, participants will:
  • achieve the ILM level 5 qualification in coaching
  • be fully equipped to coach to an industry standard
  • gain the skills to embed a coaching culture
