:: How to conduct a disciplinary investigation and write the report ::
Outline
This workshop will provide an overview of the rules regulating the conduct of a disciplinary investigation process which derive from ACAS, Natural Justice and Case Law. The workshop will explain the role of the investigator, how to establish facts and deal with problem areas involving witnesses who wish to remain anonymous, are uncooperative or wish to dictate the process. The workshop will cover the report writing, how to structure the report and the key skill of fact analysis.
Outcomes:
By attending the session participants will:
  • be confident in conducting a disciplinary investigation
  • have transferable skills which can be utilised for grievance/bullying and harassment investigations
  • be able to identify key issues including litigation exposure
  • be able to produce a structured report
