Outline
Formerly known as Excelling in the workplace (Microsoft Excel for advanced users). Would you like to have a better working knowledge of Microsoft Excel? Do you wish that creating a spreadsheet took you minutes instead of hours? Then look no further. By attending this course delegates will quickly boost their efficiency and confidence when working with Excel, so that they see an increase in their productivity at work; starting the very next time they open up a spreadsheet! To attend delegates will need to have either attended Excelling in the workplace (Microsoft Excel for beginners/introductory level), or have a reasonable level of knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Excel, as prior knowledge of the following areas will be assumed: - the ability to create simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division formulae - the ability to generate cumulative totals and balances - have an understanding of and be able to use the =SUM() function - the ability to create enhanced spreadsheets by using a range of formatting tools and techniques
Prerequisites
The course will be delivered by Anna Varley, who earned Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Master certification in 2004 and has been designing and running bespoke Microsoft Office training courses within the education, healthcare and corporate sectors for 11 years. Her company, iCan Education, also specialises in STEAM learning and developing innovative, tailored solutions and training to facilitate the integration of iPads and other emerging technologies into classrooms and existing business systems.
Outcomes:
By attending the course you will:
  • cover a range of keyboard shortcuts and Excel top tips
  • understand absolute and relative cell references and when to use them
  • learn how to use statistical functions, lookup functions and date functions
  • use conditional functions and what-if analyses to evaluate and manipulate data
