Herts for Learning Online
:: Running financially successful clubs and events ::
Outline
When set up and run properly, clubs and events should not only effectively deliver on the goals of schools, they should provide thousands of pounds of added revenue and platforms to further support educational objectives and projects. This full-day session is rich in great ideas and inspiration to improve school's clubs and events offerings. For example, the public and Government are demanding more from childcare providers and in this workshop, we explore how this is actually a great opportunity for educators to make an additional income. We will also focus on using events to position schools at the heart of the community by researching community values and understanding the importance of motivating supporters and encouraging constructive feedback. Workshop content: construct a strategy to make clubs and events lucrative; become an expert in financial planning for internal and external clubs & events; explore wraparound care and get up-to-date information on how childcare vouchers can benefit schools; research community values and desires in order to effectively position the school’s events at the heart of the community; learn to recruit volunteers and supporters and keep them motivated.
