Outline
This two-part course will enable delegates to explore why everyone in the setting should be accepted for who they are and be proud of themselves and their families. Auditing inclusive provision and ideas for inclusive practice will be key components. Part one will consider a range of challenges that face practitioners when creating an inclusive setting and will introduce an auditing tool. Part two will reflect on findings from audits and consider strategies and ideas for embedding best practice in a bespoke way.
Outcomes:
By attending the course participants will:
  • better understand the unique child, their family and their community
  • ensure that children & families see their stories reflected and valued in the setting
  • audit your setting effectively and identify areas for development
  • create a fully inclusive setting that reflects and values everyone’s individuality
