Outline
This course is designed for those who hold the role of designated senior person (DSP) for child protection and have completed level two DSP training. The course updates the role and the responsibilities of the DSP. This course is for all schools in the Hertfordshire area.
Prerequisites
Delegates must have completed level two DSP training. Ideally delegates should also have completed integrated practice training. This course is for all schools in the Hertfordshire area.
Outcomes:
By attending the course participants will:
  • have an understanding of updates relating to local/national policies, procedures and legislation
  • have a recap of tasks relating to the DSP role
  • have knowledge of lessons learnt from serious case reviews
  • have an awareness of supplementary guidance relating to specific safeguarding issues
