:: Assessment moderation cluster for teachers in Years 5 and 6: cluster 15 ::
This session will focus on exploring accuracy of assessment judgements against age-related expectations (focusing mainly on HfL assessments criteria, although also relevant where schools are using different assessment systems) as well as promoting good formative assessment practice that can be built into everyday learning. They also provide an excellent opportunity for Year 5 and Year 6 teachers to work together to achieve greater consistency in standards. The meeting will focus on assessment of writing. Delegates will be asked to bring some examples of work and there will be suggested activities - please see information sent to schools, as well as teacher guidance which will be posted on the grid early January - http://www.thegrid.org.uk/learning/assessment/ks2/moderationclusters.shtml Please note that delegates can book onto any of the clusters, as spaces allow.
Delegates will need to have read the guidance information well in advance of the session in order for them to have the required examples of pupils' work. Guidance details can also be found on the Grid at http://www.thegrid.org.uk/learning/assessment/ks2/moderationclusters.shtml
