:: National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches update ::
Outline
This course is a one day refresher course for teachers or adults involved in the supervision of swimming in a deep water pool, who have already passed the revised RLSS Award since July 2014. The Royal Life Saving Society NRASTC award is valid for two years (24 months) and then the refresher needs to be completed. The assessment requires a demonstration of the resuscitation sequence, a practical swim and questions. The pool depth is 2m 40cm and will allow staff to supervise swimming in a pool up to that depth. Please note the Edition 6 NRASTC - as of 1st January 2016 anyone wishing to update over 1 day will need to have a current NPLQ or NRASTC.
