:: Mathematical subject knowledge course for teaching assistants or non specialist teachers ::
Outline
A subject knowledge course aimed at developing the best approaches to teaching key mathematical content. This content is often delivered in intervention groups by teaching assistants or non specialists and is critical for pupil progression. The course will focus on subject knowledge and develop deeper understanding of such key concepts as fractions, formal return methods and ratio. We will look at how pupils learn and how they best retain this knowledge. This course is a further development from the highly successful courses that ran over the last academic year and is fully funded by the Matrix Maths Hub. There is no charge for this course. The course will consist of two face to face bespoke sessions which will develop in line with delegate needs.
