Herts for Learning Online
:: Teaching and assessing reading comprehension ::
Outline
This day will be full of practical activities and resources to support the teaching and assessment of reading comprehension in Years 1 to 6. These will be linked to the content domains for the end of key stage English reading tests. The National Curriculum statements contain very little progression guidance across Years 3/4 and 5/6 as pitch is to be informed by increasing complexity of the text. This course will provide a wealth of ideas and approaches to support the gathering of evidence to support teacher assessment.
