:: Paint, squiggle, draw! Teaching children the skills of painting and drawing ::
This practical session focuses on how to teach children the progression of skills of drawing and painting. Practitioners will be provided with ideas on how to organise a range of resources in an accessible way that promotes children's independent choices in art.
By attending the course participants will:
  • understand the importance of teaching children skills to enable them to draw and paint
  • explore the adult’s role in supporting children with the application of taught skills
  • gain ideas about how to create an enabling environment that promotes independent skill development
