Herts for Learning Online
:: Key Stages 1 and 2 progress cluster ::
Outline
We hear a lot about needing to show progress - progress in books, progress to Ofsted and so on - but most importantly we all want our pupils to be making progress and moving forward in their learning journeys. The key question here is 'how do we do that?' Following the success of the spring term progress clusters, the Assessment Team are offering another chance to attend this course. This extra half-day session will be focusing once more on identifying and improving progress in our classes. Included in the sessions will be training content from advisers, as well as the opportunity to analyse the progress seen in and across school, and how to get more of it. Delegates will gain a more thorough understanding of what progress looks like, receive training on how to improve progress using formative assessment tools, and explore next steps for the pupils in their class. We ask that delegates come along with books from a pupil they think is making good progress and one who they feel is a little stuck or not making consistent progress in their learning.
Outcomes:
By attending the session, participants will:
  • gain increased confidence in identifying and maximising progress
  • explore approaches to clearly identify progress in books
  • increase independent effective learning
Suitable for:
  • Classroom Teachers
