:: Primary Science Conference ::
Outline
Engaging pupils and teachers through working and thinking scientifically. Key note speaker: The Wellcome Trust: working to transform the teaching of science in primary schools so that every pupil has an excellent first experience of science. This year we are delighted to invite representatives from The Wellcome Trust for our key note session to talk about their latest research in primary science and the fantastic resource: Explorify. Explorify’s simple but high quality and visual activities spark curiosity, and support scientific thinking in primary pupils. Delegates will explore how to get the most from this completely free resource of creative science activities for primary school learning. Guest workshop: we will also be welcoming Sphere Science to share some fantastic tips for teaching practical science. The session will provide teachers with ideas and confidence in working and thinking scientifically through a range of fun and engaging activities suitable for Early Years to Year 6. Delegates will also have the opportunity to share good practice, visit the exhibitions and gain an understanding of important updates in primary science.
